Delete your data

Two ways to permanently delete your Mosafeed account and all associated data.

The short version: you can delete your Mosafeed account anytime — from inside the app or by emailing us. Your posts, AI analyses, Instagram connection, and billing records are removed within 30 days. Backups are purged within 90 days. No questions asked, no retention tricks.

Option 1 — Delete from your account settings

  1. Sign in at mosafeed.com/login
  2. Go to Settings → Billing & plans
  3. Scroll to the bottom → click “Delete account”
  4. Confirm by typing your email when prompted

Your account is deactivated immediately. All personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Option 2 — Email us directly

If you can't sign in (forgot password, locked out), email us from the address your account was created with:

Subject line: Data Deletion Request. We respond within 48 hours and complete deletion within 30 days, as required by GDPR Article 17.

What gets deleted

  • Your account (email, name, password)
  • All uploaded photos and videos
  • All posts, captions, hashtags, and notes
  • AI analysis history and recommendations
  • Instagram connection (we revoke our access token)
  • Active subscription (canceled immediately, no further charges)
  • Admin notes, usage logs, and email history

What we're required to keep

  • Billing records: 7 years — legal requirement for tax and accounting authorities in most jurisdictions.
  • Security logs: up to 90 days — used for fraud investigation if your account was flagged for abuse.
  • Backups: purged within 90 days. During this window, your data exists only in encrypted backup form and is inaccessible to our team.

Everything above is anonymized or minimized — we don't retain more than the law requires.

Revoking Mosafeed from Instagram

Deleting your Mosafeed account also revokes our access to your Instagram Business account. You can also revoke this independently at any time:

  1. Go to accounts.meta.com/apps
  2. Find Mosafeed in the list
  3. Click “Remove”

Once revoked, we can no longer read your Instagram data. Any cached data on our side is purged within 24 hours.

Instagram / Facebook User ID deletion

If Meta notifies us that you've removed Mosafeed from your Instagram account, we automatically delete all data associated with your Instagram User ID within 72 hours. This happens server-to-server — you don't need to do anything.
